France is home to thousands of attractions. From the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris to the pebbled beaches of Nice, the country of endless things to do. But what if you are visiting on a layover, or you have already checked out of your hotel and your train does not leave for hours? Rather than hauling your luggage throughout different cities, find yourself a left luggage location around France to leave your luggage and enjoy your day burden-free.

As we have said, the country is filled with locations to leave your luggage, though figuring out which is the best for you depends on your situation.

Left Luggage Locations In Airports

If you are visiting a city on a layover, you have got plenty of options to store your bags. Paris has two main airports, Charles De Gaulle (CDG) and Paris Orly (ORY), and both offer luggage storage within the terminal. Most main airlines fly into Charles De Gaulle, especially for transatlantic flights, while low budget airlines tend to fly into Paris Orly. Regardless of your airport, you can pick up your bags after your flight and drop them off securely before heading into the city.

At Charle De Gaulle, you can find the lockers near the train station, which makes it particularly. Storage is available from 06:00 to 21:30, so be sure to come back before the location closes.

Paris Orly is a similar situation, with left luggage options available near the train station. Prices vary depending on several factors, including pieces left and size, though it is reasonable overall. Hours are the same as CDG, from 06:00 to 21:30, so unless you are wanting to leave your luggage overnight ensure you arrive on time.

Other airports within France operate the same way, with baggage options available at most airports, including Nice, Lyon, and Marseille. Check your local airport for storage options and prices.

Left Luggage Locations Around The City

Hotel Guests

If you have already been visiting a city for a few days and are just now checking out, you may be in luck. Many European hotels offer free luggage storage if you are a guest, and you can return at any time to retrieve your bags. The same is true of other homestay options, such as Airbnb. Ask your host if they are willing to hold your bags while you explore the city.

Otherwise, most cities offer left luggage options around town, especially near large tourist attractions. There are some independent services, but also several large companies available throughout much of France.

Private Services

  • Stasher: Stasher is a luggage service that connects travelers with shops and hotels offering storage services. It is available in most major French cities and allows online booking, making it very convenient. Its website is also very functional and shows location hours, prices, and reviews of each location so that travelers can trust their luggage will be stored safely.
  • Holibag: Holibag is another large company available all over France. Similar to Stasher, the site connects customers with businesses such as restaurants, hotels, and shops that offer luggage storage. With hundreds of different options, you are nearly guaranteed to find a spot to drop your bags, so you can enjoy your day.
  • Nannybag: If you are staying in Paris, your best bet is Nannybag. The largest storage service in the city, Nanny bag offers hundreds of locations and 24 hour access for those extra late nights. Prices are a flat €6 per bag for the first day and €4 thereafter. One of the best things about Nannybag is that it guarantees the safety of your bag with its own insurance, which means you have total peace of mind.
