Altamura ist eine Stadt und Gemeinde Apuliens in Süditalien. Es befindet sich auf einem der Hügel des Murge-Plateaus in der Metropole Bari, 45 Kilometer südwestlich von Bari, nahe der Grenze zur Basilikata. Ab 2017 hat die Bevölkerung 70.595 Einwohner.
