Annecy (USA: AN-ə-SEE, ahn-SEE, Französisch: [ansi]; Arpitan: Èneci oder Ènneci) ist die größte Stadt des Departements Haute-Savoie in der Region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes im Südosten Frankreichs. Es liegt an der Nordspitze des Annecy-Sees, 35 Kilometer südlich von Genf. Die Stadt, die in Raoul Blanchards Monographie "Perle der französischen Alpen" genannt wird und die Lage zwischen See und Bergen beschreibt, kontrolliert den nördlichen Eingang zur Seeschlucht. Aufgrund des Mangels an verfügbarem Bauland zwischen dem See und dem geschützten Berg Semnoz stagnierte die Bevölkerung seit 1950 mit rund 50.000 Einwohnern. Durch den Zusammenschluss von 2017 mit mehreren Ex-Gemeinden wurde die Stadtbevölkerung jedoch auf 124.401 Einwohner und 203.078 Einwohner erweitert Das Stadtgebiet liegt Annecy auf Platz 6 in der Region hinter Annemasse mit 292.000 Einwohnern.

Aubagne (französische Aussprache: [oˈbaɲ], Aubanha auf Okzitanisch nach klassischer Norm oder Aubagno nach mistralischer Norm) ist eine Gemeinde im Departement Bouches-du-Rhône in der südlichen Region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Frankreich. Die Einwohner der Gemeinde sind als Aubagnais oder Aubagnaises bekannt.
