Chiuro ist eine Gemeinde in der Provinz Sondrio in der italienischen Region Lombardei, etwa 100 Kilometer nordöstlich von Mailand und etwa 9 Kilometer östlich von Sondrio an der Grenze zur Schweiz. Zum 31. Dezember 2004 hatte es eine Bevölkerung von 2.499 und eine Fläche von 51,8 Quadratkilometern. Die Gemeinde Chiuro enthält die Frazioni (Unterabteilungen, hauptsächlich Dörfer und Weiler) Castionetto und Casacce. Chiuro grenzt an folgende Gemeinden: Brusio (Schweiz), Castello dell'Acqua, Lanzada, Montagna in Valtellina, Ponte in Valtellina, Poschiavo (Schweiz), Teglio.
