Chur oder Coire (französisch: [kwaʁ]; romanisch: Cuira [ˈkweːrɐ] oder [ˈkwoi̯rɐ]; italienisch: Coira [ˈkɔira]) ist die Hauptstadt und größte Stadt des Schweizer Kantons Graubünden und liegt im Graubünden-Rheintal, wo sich der Rhein nach Norden dreht, im nördlichen Teil des Kantons. Die Stadt, die sich am rechten Rheinufer befindet, ist angeblich die älteste Stadt der Schweiz. Die offizielle Sprache von Chur ist (die Schweizer Standardart) Deutsch, aber die Hauptsprache ist die lokale Variante des Hochalemannen Schweizerdeutscher Dialekt. Am 1.
