Foligno ist eine antike Stadt Italiens in der Provinz Perugia im Osten Zentralumbriens am Topino, wo sie den Apennin verlässt und in die weite Ebene des Clitunno-Flusssystems mündet. Es liegt 40 Kilometer südöstlich von Perugia, 10 km nordnordwestlich von Trevi und 6 km südlich von Spello. Während Foligno ein aktives Bistum ist, ist eine seiner Zivilgemeinden, San Giovanni Profiamma, die historische Stätte des ehemaligen Bistums Foro Flaminio, das nach wie vor ein lateinisch-katholischer Titel ist. Der Bahnhof Foligno ist Teil der Hauptstrecke von Rom nach Ancona und die Kreuzung nach Perugia. Es ist somit ein wichtiges Eisenbahnzentrum mit Reparatur- und Wartungshöfen für die Züge Mittelitaliens und wurde daher im Zweiten Weltkrieg schweren alliierten Luftangriffen ausgesetzt, die für seinen relativ modernen Aspekt verantwortlich sind, obwohl es einige mittelalterliche Denkmäler bewahrt.

Civitavecchia (ausgesprochen [ˌtʃivitaˈvɛkkja]; bedeutet "antike Stadt") ist eine Stadt und Gemeinde der Metropole Rom in der zentralitalienischen Region Latium. Es ist ein Seehafen am Tyrrhenischen Meer und liegt 60 Kilometer westnordwestlich des Zentrums von Rom. Der Hafen besteht aus zwei Pfeilern und einem Wellenbrecher, auf dem ein Leuchtturm steht.
