Fellbach ist eine mittelgroße Stadt an der nordöstlichen Grenze von Stuttgart in Baden-Württemberg. Mit rund 43.700 Einwohnern im Dezember 2003 ist es die zweitgrößte Stadt im Landkreis Rems-Murr-Kreis. Die Fläche der Stadt beträgt 27,7 km2. Fellbach wurde 1121 erstmals als Velbach erwähnt. 1357 hieß es Vellebach und um 1800 wurde der Name Fehlbach verwendet.
