Neerwinden ist ein belgisches Dorf in der Provinz Flämisch-Brabant, einige Meilen südöstlich von Tienen, und gehört heute zur Gemeinde Landen. Das Dorf gab zwei großen Schlachten seinen Namen, die erste, die 1693 zwischen der anglo-alliierten Armee unter Wilhelm III. Von England und den Franzosen unter dem Herzog von Luxemburg ausgetragen wurde und mit einem französischen Sieg endete. (Diese Schlacht während des Krieges der Großen Allianz wird gewöhnlich als Schlacht von Landen bezeichnet.) Die zweite Schlacht fand 1793 zwischen den Österreichern unter Fürst Josias von Coburg und den Franzosen unter General Dumouriez statt und endete mit einem österreichischen Sieg.
