Lindau ehemals Lindau im Bodensee; deutsch: [ˈlɪndaʊ̯]) ist eine Großstadt und Insel an der Ostseite des Bodensees in Bayern. Es ist die Landeshauptstadt des Landkreises Lindau in Bayern und liegt in der Nähe der Grenzen des österreichischen Bundeslandes Vorarlberg und der Schweizer Kantone St. Gallen und Thurgau.
