Licata (italienisch: [liˈkaːta], sizilianisch: [lɪˈkaːta]; altgriechisch: Φιντίας, woher lateinisch: Phintias oder Plintis), früher auch Alicata, ist eine Stadt und Gemeinde an der Südküste Siziliens an der Mündung des Salso Fluss (die alte Himera), etwa auf halber Strecke zwischen Agrigento und Gela. Westlich der Hafenstadt gibt es eine Reihe von Taschenstränden, die durch wellenförmige Landzungen mit einer Höhe von bis zu 40 Metern voneinander getrennt sind.
