Guglielmo Giovanni Maria Marconi, 1. Marquis von Marconi FRSA (italienisch: [ɡuʎˈʎɛlmo marˈkoːni]; 25. April 1874 - 20. Juli 1937) war ein italienischer Erfinder und Elektrotechniker, der für seine Pionierarbeit im Bereich der Fernfunkübertragung und die Entwicklung des Marconi-Gesetzes bekannt war und ein Funktelegraphensystem. Er gilt als Erfinder des Radios und teilte 1909 mit Karl Ferdinand Braun den Nobelpreis für Physik "in Anerkennung ihrer Beiträge zur Entwicklung der drahtlosen Telegraphie".
