Sondrio (italienisch: [ˈsondrjo]; lombardisch: Sùndri; romanisch: Sunder; archaisch deutsch: Sünders oder Sonders; lateinisch: Sundrium) ist eine italienische Stadt und Gemeinde im Herzen des Veltlin. Ab 2012 zählt Sondrio ungefähr 21.876 Einwohner (2015) und ist das Verwaltungszentrum für die Provinz Sondrio. 2007 wurde Sondrio mit der Auszeichnung „Alpenstadt des Jahres“ ausgezeichnet.
