Seit der Reform der Kommunalverwaltung 2011 ist es Teil der Gemeinde Oichalia, deren kommunale Einheit es ist. Die kommunale Einheit hat eine Fläche von 102.832 km2. Die Bevölkerung der kommunalen Einheit beträgt 2.983 und des Dorfes allein 915 (Volkszählung 2011). Dorio liegt 170 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel.
