Morbegno (italienisch: [morˈbeɲɲo]; lombardisch: Murbegn [murˈbɛɲ]; deutsch: Morbend) ist eine kleine Stadt im niedrigen Valtellina-Tal in Italien auf der linken Seite des Flusses Adda. Es ist Teil der Provinz Sondrio in der Lombardei. 2007 startete sie ein Projekt, um führend in Sachen Nachhaltigkeit zu werden, indem die Bevölkerung in einen partizipativen Entwurfsprozess einbezogen wurde, der derzeit als "Morbegno 2020" bezeichnet wird. Morbegno arbeitet mit der internationalen gemeinnützigen Organisation The Natural Step zusammen, um eine Vision dessen zu entwerfen, was die in Morbegno lebenden Menschen langfristig schaffen wollen, und um den strategischen Weg zu wählen, um aus der gegenwärtigen Realität in Richtung der Vision zu gelangen. Morbegno wurde auch als Pilotstadt in der Di.Mo.Stra ausgewählt.
