Pontremoli (italienisch: [ponˈtrɛːmoli]; lokal Emilian: Pontrémal; lateinisch: Apua) ist eine kleine Stadt, ein ehemaliges lateinisch-katholisches Bistum in der Provinz Massa und Carrara, Region Toskana, Mittelitalien. Wörtlich übersetzt bedeutet Pontremoli "Zitternde Brücke" (von Ponte "Brücke" und Zittern "bis Zittern"), da die Gemeinde nach einer markanten Brücke über die Magra benannt wurde. Pontremoli befindet sich im oberen Tal der Magra, 40 Kilometer (25) mi) nordöstlich von La Spezia mit der Bahn und 90 Kilometer südsüdwestlich von Parma.
