Thun ist eine Stadt und eine Gemeinde im Landkreis Thun im Kanton Bern in der Schweiz mit rund 43.783 Einwohnern (rund 90.000 im Ballungsraum) zum 31. Dezember 2013. Sie befindet sich dort, wo die Aare fließt aus dem Thunersee, 30 Kilometer südlich von Bern.
