Cropani ist eine Gemeinde und Stadt in der Provinz Catanzaro in der italienischen Region Kalabrien. Die Gemeinde liegt 10 km vom Meer und 13 km von der Sila entfernt. Zwei Fraktionen gehören zum Gemeindegebiet: Cropani Marina und Cuturella. Der Überlieferung nach fand das Schiff mit den Reliquien des Evangelisten Markus von Alexandria nach Venedig an den Küsten von Cropani Zuflucht. Aus Dankbarkeit schenkte der Kapitän der Stadt ein Relikt (ein Fragment einer Kniescheibe), das in der romanischen Kathedrale aufbewahrt wurde.
