Modica [ˈmɔːdika] (sizilianisch: Muòrica, griechisch: Μότουκα, Motouka, lateinisch: Mutyca oder Motyca) ist eine Stadt und Gemeinde mit 54.456 Einwohnern in der Provinz Ragusa, Sizilien, Süditalien. Die Stadt liegt in den Hyblaean Mountains. Modica hat neolithischen Ursprung und repräsentiert die historische Hauptstadt des Gebiets, die heute fast der Provinz Ragusa entspricht. Bis zum 19.
