Kleve ( KLAY-və, German: [ˈkleːvə]; traditional English: Cleves KLEEVZ; Dutch: Kleef; French: Clèves; Spanish: Cléveris; Latin: Clivia) is a town in the Lower Rhine region of northwestern Germany near the Dutch border and the river Rhine.
