Chivasso is a comune in the Metropolitan City of Turin in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 20 kilometres (12 mi) northeast of Turin. Chivasso has a population of about 27,000. The name probably has a Roman origin (Clavasium, which is used nowadays by local companies).
