Hemiksem (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɦeːmɪksɛm], historical spellings Heymissen and Hemixem) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality only comprises the town of Hemiksem proper. On January 1, 2010 Hemiksem had a total population of 10,166. The total area is 5.44 km² which gives a population density of 1,868 inhabitants per km². It is renowned in Flanders for its "Casa Blanca" festival, which at its peak had more than 80.000 visitors over three days.
