Bordesholm es una ciudad en Schleswig-Holstein, Alemania en el distrito Rendsburg-Eckernförde. Bordesholm es también el nombre de un antiguo distrito histórico del Reino de Prusia y la República de Weimar para el cual fue la capital del distrito. El distrito de Bordesholm se disolvió posteriormente en 1932 y se dividió en distritos vecinos (partes del distrito de Bordesholm se unieron con el distrito de Segeberg y el resto a Rendsburg-Eckernförde). La ciudad de Bordesholm se desarrolló alrededor de 1330, cuando la abadía de Neumünster (fundada en 1127 por el obispo Vizelin) fue trasladada a una isla en el lago Bordesholm.
