Guglielmo Giovanni Maria Marconi, 1er marqués de Marconi FRSA (italiano: [ɡuʎˈʎɛlmo marˈkoːni]; 25 de abril de 1874 - 20 de julio de 1937) fue un inventor e ingeniero eléctrico italiano, conocido por su trabajo pionero en la transmisión de radio de larga distancia, el desarrollo de la ley de Marconi y un sistema de radio telégrafo. Se le acredita como el inventor de la radio, y compartió el Premio Nobel de Física de 1909 con Karl Ferdinand Braun "en reconocimiento de sus contribuciones al desarrollo de la telegrafía inalámbrica". Marconi también fue empresario, empresario y fundador de The Wireless Telegraph. & Signal Company en el Reino Unido en 1897 (que se convirtió en Marconi Company).
