Benediktbeuern es un municipio en el distrito de Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen en Baviera, Alemania, a 2 kilómetros o 1.25 millas de Bichl. El pueblo tiene unos 3.620 residentes al 31 de diciembre de 2015. El nombre en latín medieval de Benediktbeuern era Buria (adjetivo: Burana). Benediktbeuern tiene un famoso monasterio, anteriormente perteneciente a la Orden Benedictina, llamada Abadía de Benediktbeuern, que se fundó aproximadamente en 739. Su nombre es bien conocido debido al manuscrito Carmina Burana ('Canciones de Benediktbeuern') encontrado allí en 1803 y posteriormente puesto a la música por Carl Orff.
