Piacenza (pronunciación italiana: [pjaˈtʃɛntsa]; Piacentino: Piaṡëinsa [pi.aˈzəi̯sɐ]; latín: Placentia) es una ciudad y comuna en la región de Emilia-Romaña del norte de Italia, la capital de la provincia homónima. La etimología es de larga data, trazando un origen del verbo latino placēre, "complacer". En francés, y ocasionalmente en inglés, se llama Plaisance.
