Modica [ˈmɔːdika] (siciliano: Muòrica, griego: Μότουκα, Motouka, latín: Mutyca o Motyca) es una ciudad y comuna de 54.456 habitantes en la provincia de Ragusa, Sicilia, sur de Italia. La ciudad está situada en las montañas de Hyblaean. Modica tiene orígenes neolíticos y representa la capital histórica de la zona que hoy casi corresponde a la Provincia de Ragusa. Hasta el siglo XIX fue la capital de un condado que ejerció una influencia política, económica y cultural tan amplia que se contaba entre las disputas más poderosas del Mezzogiorno.
