Belgirate es una comuna en la provincia de Verbano-Cusio-Ossola en la región italiana de Piamonte, ubicada a unos 110 kilómetros (68 millas) al noreste de Turín y a unos 11 kilómetros (7 millas) al sur de Verbania. Belgirate limita con los siguientes municipios: Besozzo, Brebbia, Ispra, Leggiuno, Lesa, Monvalle, Stresa. La pequeña iglesia románica de Santa María data del siglo XI y está precedida por un pórtico del siglo XVI con algunos frescos de la escuela Bernardino Luini.

Rávena (rə-VEN-ə, italiano: [raˈvenna], también localmente [raˈvɛnna]; Romagnol: Ravèna) es la capital de la provincia de Ravenna, en la región de Emilia-Romagna del norte de Italia. Fue la capital del Imperio Romano de Occidente desde 402 hasta que ese imperio se derrumbó en 476. Luego sirvió como la capital del Reino Ostrogótico hasta que fue reconquistada en 540 por el Imperio Bizantino. Posteriormente, la ciudad formó el centro del Exarcado bizantino de Rávena hasta la invasión de los lombardos en 751, después de lo cual se convirtió en la sede del Reino de los lombardos. Aunque es una ciudad del interior, Rávena está conectada al Mar Adriático por el Canal Candiano.
