Camposanto es una comuna en la provincia de Módena en la región italiana de Emilia-Romagna, ubicada a unos 35 kilómetros (22 millas) al noroeste de Bolonia y a unos 20 kilómetros (12 millas) al noreste de Módena en el río Panaro. Aunque el nombre en italiano significa literalmente "campo de los santos", que normalmente significa "cementerio" en italiano, su nombre original (en latín), "Campus Sanctus", probablemente honró a la familia Ferrara del siglo XIV de Santi, propietaria de la tierra.
