Pontecurone es una comuna en la provincia de Alessandria en la región italiana de Piamonte, ubicada en la margen izquierda de la Curone, a unos 100 kilómetros al este de Turín y a unos 25 kilómetros (16 millas) al este de Alessandria. Pontecurone limita con los siguientes municipios: Casalnoceto, Casei Gerola, Castelnuovo Scrivia, Rivanazzano Terme, Tortona, Viguzzolo y Voghera. En 1635 fue el lugar de una batalla en la que Odoardo Farnese, duque de Parma y Piacenza y aliado de los franceses, derrotó a las tropas españolas bajo Caspar Azevedo.
