Lama (tibetano: བླ་ མ་, Wylie: bla-ma; "jefe" o "sumo sacerdote") es un título para un maestro del Dharma en el budismo tibetano. El nombre es similar al término sánscrito guru y en uso es similar, pero no idéntico al rango monástico occidental de abad. Históricamente, el término fue utilizado para venerados maestros espirituales o jefes de monasterios.
