Uelzen (oficialmente la ciudad hanseática de Uelzen, alemán: Hansestadt Uelzen, pronunciación alemana: [ˈʔʏltsn̩], bajo alemán Ülz'n) es una ciudad en el noreste de Baja Sajonia, Alemania, y capital del condado de Uelzen. Es parte de la Región Metropolitana de Hamburgo, una ciudad hanseática y un municipio independiente. Uelzen se caracteriza por una arquitectura con entramado de madera y también tiene algunos ejemplos sorprendentes del gótico de ladrillo del norte de Alemania. La ciudad del condado ganó fama panregional cuando Friedensreich Hundertwasser fue seleccionada para rediseñar la estación: el trabajo final del célebre artista y arquitecto vienés se inauguró ceremonialmente en 2000 como la Estación Hundertwasser, Uelzen, y desde entonces ha sido un imán turístico popular.
