Dolo es una ciudad y comuna en la provincia de Venecia, Véneto, Italia. Está conectado por la carretera provincial SP26 y es una de las ciudades de la Riviera del Brenta. El crecimiento de la ciudad de Dolo se debe a la reducción gradual del poder marítimo de Venecia, que históricamente se orientó hacia Dalmacia, el Mar Egeo y el Medio Oriente, ocurrió simultáneamente con la caída del Imperio Bizantino, la expansión islámica y el nuevo apertura de rutas de navegación a las Américas. A principios del siglo XV, los documentos dan testimonio de la existencia de una aldea que, en desarrollo, dio lugar a la importancia económica de Dolo, siempre vinculada a la presencia de sus molinos de agua que recolectaban trigo de las tierras agrícolas cercanas y luego molían la harina.
