Montepulciano es una ciudad y comuna medieval y renacentista en la provincia italiana de Siena, en el sur de la Toscana. Montepulciano es un importante productor de alimentos y bebidas. Reconocido por su carne de cerdo, queso, pasta "pici", lentejas y miel, es conocido mundialmente por su vino. Los entendidos consideran su Vino Nobile, que no debe confundirse con el vino varietal elaborado con la uva Montepulciano, entre los mejores de Italia.
