Alcamo est la quatrième plus grande ville de la province de Trapani en Sicile, avec une population de 45 374 habitants. Il se trouve à la frontière de la ville métropolitaine de Palerme, à une distance d'environ 50 kilomètres de Palerme et de Trapani.
