Il est situé dans la municipalité de Cranendonck, à environ 15 km au sud-est d'Eindhoven, près des frontières belge et allemande. Maarheeze était autrefois une municipalité distincte. Il a fusionné avec Budel en 1997 et a changé son nom en Cranendonck.1 Bien qu'il soit situé dans le Brabant du Nord près d'Eindhoven, le dialecte parlé est le Budels (linguistiquement un dialecte limbourgeois), plutôt que le Kempenlands (linguistiquement un dialecte du Brabant oriental).
