Celle est une ville et capitale du district de Celle, en Basse-Saxe, en Allemagne. La ville est située sur les rives de la rivière Aller, un affluent de la Weser et compte environ 71 000 habitants. De 1378 à 1705, Celle était la résidence officielle de la branche de Lüneburg des ducs de Brunswick-Lüneburg (Maison des Welf) qui avaient été bannis de leur siège ducal d'origine par ses habitants.
