Bellano est une commune et une petite ville sur la rive orientale du lac de Côme dans la province de Lecco dans la région italienne de Lombardie, située à la sortie nord de la Valsassina. L'attraction principale de la ville est l'Orrido ("gorge" ou petit canyon) qui a été formée par l'érosion par la rivière Pioverna. L'érosion a commencé il y a 15 millions d'années. L'église de la ville s'appelle Santi Nazario e Celso (construite en 1348) et est de style gothique. Bellano est le lieu de la plupart des romans de l'écrivain local Andrea Vitali et le lieu de naissance de l'écrivain et poète du XVIIe siècle Sigismondo Boldoni.
