Marano comme nom de famille a une origine italienne noble, dérive du nom de famille Marani de Vicence qui est venu à Naples au 16ème siècle avec Francesco Antonio enterré dans l'église de Sant'Antonelli à Caponapoli dans l'ancien centre de la ville de Naples.
