Esbjerg (Royaume-Uni:, États-Unis:, danois: [ˈɛsˌpjɛɐ̯ˀ], dialecte du Jutish occidental: [ˈɛspʲæa̯]) est une ville portuaire et siège de la municipalité d'Esbjerg sur la côte ouest de la péninsule du Jutland, dans le sud-ouest du Danemark. Par la route, elle se trouve à 71 kilomètres (44 mi) à l'ouest de Kolding et à 164 kilomètres (102 mi) au sud-ouest d'Aarhus. Avec une population urbaine de 72168 habitants (1er janvier 2019), c'est la cinquième plus grande ville du Danemark et la plus grande du Jutland occidental. Avant la décision de créer un port (devenu le deuxième plus grand au Danemark) à Esbjerg en 1868, la zone ne comprenait que quelques fermes.
