Bochum (BOH-khuum, également américain: BOH-kəm, allemand: [ˈboːxʊm]; westphalien: Baukem) est la sixième plus grande ville de l'État fédéral allemand le plus peuplé de Rhénanie du Nord-Westphalie après Cologne, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Essen et Duisburg et ses 364920 habitants (2016) en font la 16e plus grande ville d'Allemagne.
