Bollate est une commune de la ville métropolitaine de Milan dans la région italienne de Lombardie, située à environ 10 kilomètres (6 mi) au nord-ouest de Milan. Bollate est limitrophe des municipalités suivantes: Paderno Dugnano, Senago, Garbagnate Milanese, Arese, Cormano, Novate Milanese, Baranzate, Milan. Bollate a reçu le titre honorifique de ville par un décret présidentiel le 11 octobre 1984. Elle est desservie par la gare de Bollate Centro et la gare de Bollate Nord.
