Vasto (Abruzzese: lù Uàštë; Ancient Greek: Ἱστόνιον, romanized: Histonion, Latin: Histonium) est une petite ville au bord de la mer à l'opposé de Rome et comune sur la côte adriatique de la province de Chieti dans le sud des Abruzzes, en Italie. Il était aussi appelé au Moyen Âge comme Guastaymonis ou Vasto d'Aimone et aussi Waste d'Aimone. Rebaptisé Istonio sous la règle fasciste, il prit le nom actuel de Vasto en 1944.
