Tournai (toor-NAY, français: [tuʁnɛ]; Picard: Tornai; wallon: Tornè [tɔʀnɛ]; latin: Tornacum), connu en néerlandais sous le nom de Doornik et historiquement sous le nom de Dornick en anglais, est une commune wallonne de Belgique, à 85 kilomètres ( 85 km) au sud-ouest de Bruxelles sur l'Escaut. Dans la province du Hainaut, Tournai fait partie de l'Eurométropole Lille – Courtrai – Tournai, qui comptait 2 155 161 habitants en 2008. Tournai est l'une des plus anciennes villes de Belgique et a joué un rôle important dans l'histoire culturelle du pays. C'était la première capitale de l'Empire franc, avec Clovis I étant né ici.
