Jemappes est une ville wallonne du sud-ouest de la Belgique, province du Hainaut. Depuis 1973, il fait partie de la ville de Mons. Jemappes est connue pour la bataille de Jemappes entre les armées française et autrichienne en 1792. Pendant l'occupation française de la Belgique (1792-1814), il y avait un département nommé d'après la bataille de Jemappes, Jemmape. Jemappes a également été un champ de bataille pendant la Première Guerre mondiale.
