Donaueschingen est une ville allemande de la Forêt-Noire au sud-ouest de l'État fédéral du Bade-Wurtemberg dans le Schwarzwald-Baar Kreis. Il se dresse près du confluent des deux sources du Danube (en allemand: Donau; le nom de la ville est un éponyme). Donaueschingen se trouve dans un bassin au sein d'un terrain montagneux bas. Elle est située à environ 13 km (8,1 mi) au sud de Villingen-Schwenningen, à 24 km (15 mi) à l'ouest de Tuttlingen et à environ 30 km (19 mi) au nord de la ville suisse de Schaffhouse. En 2015, la population était de 21 750 habitants, ce qui en fait la deuxième plus grande ville du district (Kreis) de Schwarzwald-Baar.
