Gemonio est une commune de la province de Varèse dans la région italienne de Lombardie, située à environ 60 kilomètres (37 mi) au nord-ouest de Milan et à environ 14 kilomètres (9 mi) au nord-ouest de Varèse. Au 31 décembre 2004, elle comptait 2702 habitants et une superficie de 3,7 kilomètres carrés (1,4 mi2) .Gemonio est limitrophe des municipalités suivantes: Azzio, Besozzo, Brenta, Caravate, Cittiglio, Cocquio-Trevisago.
