Mürren est un village de montagne traditionnel de Walser dans les hautes terres bernoises de Suisse, à une altitude de 1 638 mètres (5 374 pieds) au-dessus du niveau de la mer et il n'est pas accessible par la voie publique. Interlaken (prononciation allemande: [ˈɪntərlakn̩]; lit .: entre les lacs) est une ville et municipalité suisse du district administratif d'Interlaken-Oberhasli dans le canton de Berne. C'est une destination touristique importante et bien connue dans la région des hautes terres bernoises des Alpes suisses, et la principale porte d'entrée des transports vers les montagnes et les lacs de cette région. La ville est située sur la terre alluviale plate appelée Bödeli entre deux lacs, Brienz à l'est et Thoune à l'ouest, et le long de la rivière Aare, qui coule entre eux.
