Courtrai (KORT-ryke, néerlandais: [ˈkɔrtrɛik]; ouest flamand: Kortryk ou Kortrik; français: Courtrai [kuʁtʁɛ]; latin: Cortoriacum), également connu en anglais sous le nom de Courtrai ou Courtray (koor-TRAY), est une ville belge et commune flamande de Flandre occidentale. C'est la capitale et la plus grande ville de l'arrondissement judiciaire et administratif de Courtrai. La municipalité élargie comprend la ville de Courtrai proprement dite et les villages d'Aalbeke, Bellegem, Bissegem, Heule, Kooigem, Marke et Rollegem. Courtrai fait également partie de la zone métropolitaine transfrontalière Lille-Courtrai-Tournai.La ville est sur la Lys, à 42 km (26 mi) au sud-ouest de Gand et à 25 km (16 mi) au nord-est de Lille. Mouscron en Wallonie est juste au sud de Courtrai.
