Bautzen (prononcé [ˈbaʊ̯t͡sn̩]; haut sorabe: Budyšin [ˈbudɨʃin]; jusqu'en 1868 allemand: Budissin; bas-sorabe: Budyšyn [ˈbudɨʃɨn], tchèque: Budyšín [ˈbudɪʃiːn], polonais: Budziszyn [buˈd͡ʑiʂɨn] dans la ville) Saxe orientale, Allemagne, et centre administratif du district éponyme. Il est situé sur la rivière Spree. En 2017, sa population était de 39429 habitants. L'astéroïde 11580 Bautzen est nommé en l'honneur de la ville. Bautzen est souvent considérée comme la capitale non officielle mais historique de la Haute-Lusace, et c'est le centre culturel le plus important des Sorabes, un peuple slave.
