Viareggio est une ville et une commune du nord de la Toscane, en Italie, sur la côte de la mer Tyrrhénienne. Avec une population de plus de 62 000 habitants, c'est la deuxième plus grande ville de la province de Lucques, après Lucques. Elle est connue comme une station balnéaire et abrite le célèbre carnaval de Viareggio (datant de 1873), et ses chars en papier mâché, qui (depuis 1925) défilent le long de la promenade connue sous le nom de "Passeggiata a mare" dans les semaines du Carnaval. Le symbole du carnaval de Viareggio et son masque officiel est Burlamacco, conçu et inventé par Uberto Bonetti en 1930. La ville remonte à la première moitié du XVIe siècle lorsqu'elle est devenue la seule porte d'accès à la mer pour la République de Lucques.

Mestrino est une commune de la province de Padoue dans la région italienne de Vénétie, située à environ 45 kilomètres (28 mi) à l'ouest de Venise et à environ 9 kilomètres (6 mi) au nord-ouest de Padoue. Au 31 décembre 2004, elle avait une population de 9211 habitants et une superficie de 19,3 kilomètres carrés (7,5 milles carrés) .La municipalité de Mestrino contient les frazioni (subdivisions, principalement des villages et des hameaux) Arlesega et Lissaro. Mestrino borde les communes suivantes: Campodoro, Grisignano di Zocco, Rubano, Saccolongo, Veggiano, Villafranca Padovana.
